Course Details

Course Duration - 5 days

The minimum number of guided learning hours which have been stipulated by the Awarding Organisation is 30 hours.

However, as we are a premium training organisation, we do not adhere to the bare minimum of standards.

Some companies conduct this course over 4 days (that's 7.5 guided learning hours per day, NOT including lunch and tea breaks).

This places a toll on the learning experience and negatively affects the quality of both training and learning.

Therefore we refuse to compromise on the delivery of high quality learning, and will conduct this over 5 days.

This also allows us to conduct practical scenarios involving real-life actors who will simulate casualties. There is of course, no substitute to real-world experience, but scenario drills are the next best thing to preparating for the real world.

Course Assessment

This course is assessed by a Multiple Choice exam paper and observations of practical tasks.

Certification

  • Certification is issued by AOFA Qualifications
  • The course is also recognised by Ofqual as being a Level 3 Award on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF)
  • Clinical endorsement of the qualification is by the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care.  The qualification meets Grade descriptor C of the faculty of pre hospital care, pre hospital emergency medicine skills framework - PHEM Skill
